Paris and Marseille
We are in Marseille right now, on the southern coast of France. It's pretty nice here, sandy beaches and swimming in the Med. We're leaving tomorrow for Florence, Italy, then to Rome. Paris was a blur, too many people, it was so crowded! We spent the whole first night there lost, we couldn't find our host's bookstore. It was kinda scary and sucky. But we found it the next day. We got to see the Eiffel Tower, walk through the Louvre, Notre Dame, and tons of other huge buildings that I don't even know the names to. Marseille has been slower, but kind of not enough to do besides laying on the beach (and getting the worst sun burn I've ever gotten!). We're trying to change our plane ticket home to an earlier date because there's just not enough to do here if you're poor. If we can't change our tickets, then we might fly out of dublin, spend a few days in New York, then fly home for pretty cheap. it's all still up in the air. Well, I'm out, typing on these French keyboards is hard!

Wewt. We leave tomorrow.
So, our plane leaves at 6:45pm tomorrow. 13 hour flight. It's going to be sweet because I got a brand new crossword book waiting to be solved. We are all ready to leave, and we've been watching 'Passport to Europe' on the Travel Channel to prepare us.
We got another place to stay in Marsielle, and possibly a place in Bern with a Graphic Designer, Art Historian, and Historian (how perfect is THAT?!?). FOR FREE. Couch surfing rules.
That's all we are to report for now. Next time you hear from me I will be in Paris!
Adieu,
Liz

Getting Ready for the Big Date
Tuesday: May 29th, 2007.
We have been getting ready to leave, which involves buying little travel-sized knick-knacks at Target, buying pants that change into shorts, and looking for someone to take Hamster for 2 months. I have been on the internet 24/7 getting info on costs of things over there, etc. I did find a website Global Freeloaders that allows you to search for people who are willing to let you stay at their places for free if you are also willing to make your own home available for other travellers. It's a really good idea! We already found a couple in Paris who are willing to host us, as well as someone in Amsterdam. And hey, if you're looking for a place to stay in the thriving metropolis of Pullman, we're on there and we'd be happy to host you! Also, Cody found this site last night Couch Surfing which is the same thing as Global Freeloaders, and has more members, I believe.
Other than that, I have been going between super excited and super scared for the trip, but I do know it's going to be awesome.
Cody's 21st birthday is tomorrow! What are we gonna do for it? I don't know. He changes his mind 3423 times a day.
